THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING RACE!!!
Seriously, without you runners this would not be possible! You solely (pun intended) are the ones to thank for all of the great and wonderful things that come out of this run. We are glad that the weather held up for the most part (hey it’s Cleveland it could’ve been MUCH worse) and that everything went as smoothly as it did. We hope that your experience was as enjoyable as ours!

WE’D LIKE TO BLAME BLACK BART!
As many of you know, we did unfortunately have an unexpected medal shortage at the finish line. Although the majority of you did receive your finisher medal, there were a few of you at the end that did not. As much as we’d love to blame Black Bart and his marauders for all the trouble, we can’t. We sadly discovered at the very last minute that there was a shipping issue. The company that makes the medals made a terrible mistake, and they did not arrive! Believe us — we are just as upset as you are — if not more!! We’ve been working feverishly for a year now planning this day so that it would be PERFECT for all of you!! When things don’t go as planned, and we fall short of our goals, we take it very personal!
Fortunately – Ralphie and Old Blue are going to save the day!!! As soon as we realized there was not going to be enough, we paid close attention to the exact moment the medals were gone. This time has been recorded, and everyone who crossed the finish line after that time, will automatically receive a medal in the mail as soon as they come in!! (the medal company told us it will be approximately 30 days — they are also just sick over this and send their most sincere apologies!)
If for some reason you feel your situation is unique, please email us! (firstname.lastname@example.org) We realize some of you may have moved since registration, or you crossed the finish line, but waited for a family member before getting your medal and missed out, some of you were even kind enough to offer your medals to others, etc. There will be some of these situations, and you just need to shoot us an email and we’ll sort through it all! Promise!!
We again apologize for any issues with the medals, and thank everyone for being so patient and understanding! So many of you came to us and had such warm and encouraging words, and have been so kind! Thank you — it means a lot!! It also furthers why we love the running community, A Christmas Story fans, and this wonderful city so much! You all are AMAZING!!!
